“Losing to Win”
Most of us think that Christianity is an easy way of life. True and faithful discipleship is costly. Grace is not cheap. Christianity is a challenge to the strong and the brave. Consider the true cost of discipleship, then you can decide whether you can afford becoming or being a Christian or not. Sunday’s Gospel text from Matthew 10:34-39 tells us what the true cost to be a disciple of Christ is:
a. Placing Christ first in your life – v. 37
b. Taking your cross, a life of sacrifice,
upon you – v. 38
c. Investing your life in Christ’s cause –
v. 39
